[ENG CC] Spirits Integra R vs. Nissan GT-R R34 vs. K-Shift CR-X HV45

This is going to be a battle
with great power difference. TsuchiyaSan, these are the cars that
we got prepared for the battle. New and old FF lightweight sports cars. It’s old, the CRX. This car is new and this car is old. Haven’t seen one equipped
with Image. So we have 3 cars together here. What about the other driver? This gal? Wow. Let’s call in the driver now. So it’s not this gal. Nope. It’s Yamaji San. It’s a first appearance of Yamaji. Welcome here. You and our girl come from
the same Chiba district. Me too. Really? So it’s 3 vs. 1 now. Chiba vs. Nagano. Engine has 200 HP. With 200 HP it’s unmodified. Only ECU and rear muffler is different. ECU, cooler, suspension, car
height, brake pads, Cusco LSD. Tires are from Formula? Those are S tires. Tuning cost 800 thousand yen, right. And yours? My CRX has got cams from Inte R. It’s
also got different ECU and muffler. Engine is normal with just different cams. There is also different gear
ratio in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. The suspension kit is from Orinzu. Tires are semislicks, with 195mm width. Tuning cost 1 million yen. Mine is only 800 thousand. Yamaji is driving the GTR,
that’s gonna be though. But he’s driving at Maze circuit for
the first time, that’s correct. So it’s gonna go according to my plan. Well there is A and B plan. Second battle. With that power difference, what kind of
battle are we going to witness? Let’s hear. This is my premiere at Maze. I’ll try to go enthusiastically. The enemy is not GTR, it’s
the Integra R, I suppose. I’ll do my best. Maybe the handicap is too big. Well how is it gonna go… I’ll try my best. Start! Orido’s CRX jumps in front with a
good start, how about Dori Dori? The clutch is slipping. Yamaji’s GTR with a slower start pushes
forward from outside with a twin turbo power. GTR is in the lead in the first chicane. I lost at start. This one has 200 HP. How can the CRX with 180 HP be ahead of me? Because it’s 100 kg lighter
than Dori Dori’s car. CRX is not bad at all. He’s following tightly. GTR is accelerating faster. But 600kg lighter CRX is absolutely faster
in the next corner thanks to late braking. This course is pretty demanding on brakes. Is it gonna work from inside? Maybe I can catch up to him. Even thought they’re falling
behind on straight, after a whole lap there is only
this small difference. GTR is stretching the gap on straights. After saying that, this braking is awesome. He’s coming with brakes. That’s obviously a very light car. Though I’m faster on straights. CRX is fast! Isn’t that beautiful. His acceleration is obviously better. Orido shifted into the 1st gear! He’s totally hunting him down. Splendid. The gap to GTR has got
smaller compared to 1st lap. Orido is challenging him! Attacking from outside in Z
corner and targeting the inside. He’s coming, coming. Let’s go Orido. So I’ll go ahead too. So easily… No, I’ll get them… I’m winning with acceleration. You’re there. Hey, hey, hey… Yamaji’s GTR is holding on outside. He’s a specialist. Where am I gonna attack him now? Done! He prevented understeer
using the parking brake. Maybe in the hairpin? Or in the Z corner? Can I gain some distance
in the next hairpin? It’s the same strategy as Orido’s, to
gain some distance in the Z corner. Dori Dori is closing the gap with braking. He’s using the 2nd gear to accelerate here! That was a little too much. Dori Dori’s strategy isn’t working.
What is he gonna do about it? Bad understeer! GTR’s had to postpone full throttle. This isn’t good, he’s gonna overtake me. Right, right. Maybe his engine is overheating. Braking face off. This is dangerous, I can’t stop. Dori Dori is thrusting
inside this time, beautiful! Right. I can obviously do braking battle. Orido, in the lead, is waiting for
Dori Dori, what a provocation. OridoKun that’s enough for now. OridoKun that’s the end. Now I’ll catch up with you. Hazard lights are a signal
for start of careless battle. I’ll show you the real power of 200 HP! Dori dori again with the
same 2nd gear strategy. Taking a clean lane in last corner, Dori
Dori is targeting Orido’s slip stream. Right! Right! I’m closing in. I’m faster. Orido brake-under-steers under
Dori Dori’s pressure! Right! I’ll let him enter from inside… This time he’s not letting
him use full throttle. I’m taking the inside now. Look! But Orido’s not yielding yet! Dangerous! It’s an acceleration battle from here on. It’s sometimes a question of
patience, these kind of battles. Right, I’m winning. Patiently planning attacks vs.
decisions made at once. Making such judgments according to situation
at hand, battle techniques are very profound. We’ve been shown a good example this time. So with the last checkered flag,
please show us another good thing! Go! With the unfolding atmosphere of first lap,
I thought it’s impossible to defeat the GTR. Completely different than I thought. The NA feels good. Yeah it’s good. There’s also no need to
think about the weight. Yours is 600 kg lighter than GTR! That’s right. Mine is 500kg lighter. By the way, at the end I’ve waited
for you because I was bored. I see…, you’re making excuses now. Whatever it was, I got you. I simply lost. So, every time, let’s do the
best even with powerless cars. Battle techniques analysis. Looking at the lap times,
GTR is the fastest car. The first lap with cool car. One shot deal. Concentrating in all power. Looking at the dead zone, GTR is
very fast on straight, that’s right. It’s overwhelmingly fast. From chicane to hairpin, the
acceleration is fast, it’s a top time. It’s going very strong with
brakes and acceleration. From that point it’s a climbing section. Brakes are good, GTR’s got a good ABS. Yes, that’s right. But it’s heavy. The next is S corner. From S corner follows the Z corner. Here is Inte R the fastest car. It’s because the gear ratios
match the section profile. Pick-up is good with shorter gears. Only in the last corner, gear
ratios are little bit off. It makes this sound,
hou, hou, houuuu. So with that said, let’s
look at the last corner. CRX is the fastest car in the last corner. The gears are matching perfectly. You were able to go smooth
through 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. It fits, right. GTR was doing also good with 5.48 sec,
compared to other cars wearing S tires. So the gear ratios are not bad. Right. Was it 2nd gear? I used 3rd gear, because
it’s got a lot of torque. That’s tremendous. With that said, how was it today, Yamaji? I ran for the first time at Maze today. I was driving very seriously. That was the plan today. Orido? GTR was pretty though today. Generally speaking about any circuit. As
in this case, there is always a corner where we can take advantage and gain some time.
That’s how I was driving today. With that said, coming to
a circuit like this, sometimes there are big cars screaming
“move away” at smaller ones. But sometimes, after running
a few laps, isn’t it them who should “move away”?
Let’s teach them a lesson. Like in the real life. With that said, lightness is a weapon. Lightweight cars running at
track can show a good potential. Big cars aren’t always better
than the lightweight class cars. So let’s fight them with
the cornering speed. Be a member of such enthusiastic
club and enjoy the driving.
