Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045 Motoko Kusanagi NEW Trailer

The new trailer for the upcoming Ghost in
the Shell Stand alone Complex 2045 has just been released. Motoko Kusanagi simply looks
awesome. I had some slight concerns when I saw the first teaser trailer regarding the
move to 3D CG animation given my experience with 3D has been questionable, but I feel
the new trailer looks fantastic. It took a small period of time adjusting to the new
design by Russian artist Ilya Kuvshinov, but I think Motoko looks awesome.
The Japanese cast has been revealed, and it’s the original cast, so Atsuko Tanaka as Motoko
Kusanagi, and Akio Otsuka as Batou so the voice acting is spot on. Currently I have
no details on the English cast, although Mary McGlynn, Richard Epcar and Crispin Freeman,
who voiced Motoko, Batou and Togusa respectively, in Second Gig publicly stated they would be
interested if it was possible. I have put a link to the full Japanese Netflix
trailer on the end screen, which is definitely worth checking out. I think I have watched
it around 30 times already. In other news, Jun’ichi Fujisaku and Hiroki
Yoshimoto have launched a new Ghost in the Shell manga, titled Ghost in the Shell: The
Human Algorithm which I managed to pick up from Amazon. Its an ongoing series, and so
far, has my interest, although I will not delve into spoilers here. Yoshimoto Yuki,
the manga’s artist, reached out to me on Twitter, so I think its worth supporting given
how difficult it is to start out as a manga artist.
