“The Science of Paranormal”
(Part One)
Most paranormal investigators’, have had some form of past experience with the paranormal. Research suggests that about eighty percent have a story to tell or at least knows someone who has a story. Seventy eight percent of paranormal researchers’ today, went to a website in order to find out more information about paranormal research. What is Paranormal Research? It’s the study of abnormal science, using science, protocols’ and equipment. Using verifiable means in order to detect possible explanations’ for paranormal phenomena.
There are two main types’ of theories in paranormal research. First there is television theory, which is filled with consistency, because that is what the audience expects. Second there is a continuous expanding theory, because of researchers’ and the research they find. Giving new reasons’ beyond things’, were constant research is the only way for the team and paranormal field to grow. When selecting equipment paranormal researchers must have reliable, deployable and interchangeable equipment. Able to be packed and transported to the location. Parts’ must be interchange too, because equipment can and will fail, usually at the worse possible time. Equipment must be verifiable, if taking a temperature, it must also be verified with another piece of equipment. Equipment must also be verified to have been calibrated also. In certain situations’, sometimes low tech works the best. For detecting a draft you can use your hand, a candle, feather or just a lighter. Some paranormal researchers’ use psychics’ and mediums’ and some don’t. The ones who don’t use them do it for one simple reason. Psychics’ and Mediums’ are phenomena of their own. They don’t wish to take information from them simply because their information isn’t verifiable scientifically. These groups’ of paranormal researchers’, consider themselves more scientific than spiritual in nature. There are various forms’ of detection equipment, such as EMF detectors’, (Electromagnetic Fields’). Ceiling fans’ on a high setting and within six feet of a detector, produces fifty milligauss of EMF. One thousand watt microwaves’, produce three hundred milligauss of EMF, within six inches’ of the device. Standing away from the device at four feet, you’re still getting twenty milligauss. Being surrounded by this everyday and not even knowing it, it is believed that as EMF continues’ to build up, it can create a flux. This in turn, creates an EMF field that eventually can affects your neurochemistry. Directed By: Roger Lee Hanson
