Top Superheroes Who Got Their Powers From Demons

Hey guys, I’m Kat Jovey and Welcome to Top
10 Nerd! There are a lot of ways that superheroes get
their powers, radioactive something, exposure to items from other planets, scratches or
bites from magical creatures, magical items, technology, just born that way etc. but today
we’re going to look at the Top 10 Superheroes Who Got Their Powers From Demons 10) Let’s start off at number 10 with Hellboy
Now, technically we don’t REALLY know how he was created, BUT he was summoned through
a portal to Earth by a Nazi cult attempting to tip the scales of during WWII in their
favour. And he was brought here from Hell sooooo we
can assume. Thankfully, their enemies found the red baby
before they could get their hands on him and taint him. The Allies decide to call him “Hellboy”
and then the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD) is born. One Professor Trevor Bruttenholm spearheads
the organization and takes Hellboy under his wing like a son. On account of being from Hell he has a few
demonic advantages. He has The Right Hand of Doom, his huge stone
hand that is GREAT for smashing things. He can lift over a ton, heals very quickly
and is exceptionally hard to hurt. 9) Number 8 is Sebastian Faust He’s the son of the evil magician Felix
Faust who appeared in Justice League of America in 1962. He taught his son how to harness the power
of demons. Later on his father put his sons soul in a
bargain with a demon named Nebiros (NebY-Ross). Sebastian though it was a mystic rite then
the demon tricked Felix and gave the power to initiate magic to Sebastian instead. From then on he’s able to tap into soul
magic. As you might imagine he ends up with a lot
of powers! He can project magical energy, energy shield,
he has healing, morphing, teleporting between shadows, tap into peoples souls to gain their
powers or feed him “mana” for spell casting. He can possess people, cast illusions, the
list goes on. 8) At number 8 we have another that is the
handy work of Nebiros (NebY-Ross). His name is Blue Devil He started out as a stuntman named Daniel
Cassidy who worked for the movies and was working on a movie called, you guessed it
Blue Devil. He had on an exoskeleton for that character
and built-in pyrotechnic devices in it as well. A pretty fancy stuntman. But then a real devil (the one who gave Faust
his powers) is freed from a temple that was close to his set, he gets hit by a demonic
energy blast and it magically bonds him with the suit. He ends up with superhuman strength, durability,
agility, healing (the suit basically repairs him), enhanced hearing, infrared night vision
and stronger senses and has trident that is able to be summoned and controlled by the
suit remotely and it even shoot fire. 7)At number 7 we have: Hellstorm: Son of Satan The full name really does say it all but,
Satan or “The Hell-Lord” decides he’s wanted a child with a human for long enough! He’s going to go get some of that human
-lovin. To gain more power. You know. As you do. He goes to Massachusetts with a secret identity,
marries a woman and has three kids. One of them being Daimon. The son of satan. After his mother’s death he finds out his
true birth. (the pentagram on the chest wasn’t enough
of an idea?). He meets up with dad/Satna and Satan tries
to get him to come serve him it hell. However, once Satan sent Hellstorm back to
Earth he decides he’s going to fight against his father instead. He tried fighting his dad right away, fails,
HOWEVER happens to grab some things on the way out. Specifically, a satanic trident and a demon-horse-drawn
chariot before returning to Earth. He also discovers his Darksoul powers inherited
from good old dad. This gives him super human strength and the
ability to project soulfire from his trident. He can sense the presence of the supernatural
and can cast spells to teleport between dimensions. 6) At number 6 we have John Constantine. It might be a slight stretch of the title
BUT hear me out. He gets his powers from the supernatural and
at one point John’s body contained demon blood, which is what allowed him to channel magic
and cast spells without facing the cost of it. His origin story is a little all over the
place. He experimented with magic at a young age
before he realized there was a price to use it. He did a spell to become a powerful magician
which ends up killing his family. He dabbled in magic off and on, he became
a rock star and fell in love with a woman named Veronica. He loses her due to a spell gone wrong and
then turns his focus to magic. Constantine rarely uses magical spells unless
he has to, especially in combat but he can perform many different acts. To name a few: Demon summoning, Dimensional
Travel, Exorcisms, Necromancy, Energy projections (like solar energy to use against vampires). He can make illusions to trick people, protection
circles, Teleportation, Telekinesis, Invisibility, mind control etc etc etc. It really depends on the writer what he can
do. My personal favourite tidbit is his Moonblade. It’s one of his magical weapons. It can change shape depending on the phase
of the moon and when someone is killed by it their spirit goes into it and Contantine
can use them for his bidding. 5 At number 5 we have MAGIK Now, MAGIK was born a Mutant already, Colossus
is her brother. However, she was kidnapped by Belasco, who
was was an evil sorcerer who worked with the Elder God to be granted immortality and immense
mystical power, which is why he has this demonic appearance. He brings her to limbo where he turns part
of her soul into a blood stone and one of his servants constantly beats her. But his spells give her considerable magic
powers like her teleportation disks. Over her lifetime she ends up with access
to both black and white magic. She magically used her life force and eldritch
energy to make her Soulsword which can disrupt magical spells. She also has mystical armour which appears
around her called Eldritch armor that adds horns, a tail and hooves to her appearance
too. She has an impenetrable psionic shield that
telepaths can’t get through and many other powers seen over the years. 4 At number 4 we have Hellcat Patricia or Patsy Walker has a normal-ish
upbringing but later in life meets The Beast who is now a member of the Avengers and agrees
to help her become a superhero. During a ridealong mission that shes on they
come across the Cat Suit worn by Tigra. She puts on the costume and assumes the identity
of Hell Cat. Now I know you’re thinking…what does this
have to do with demons? Well, enter back number 7. Hellstorm: Son of Satan. They end up meeting and getting married. Eventually though, she is driven mad and commits
suicide but then her soul is stuck in Hell. There she has to go through a ton of gladiatorial-like
combat scenarios and she also learns to develop her psychic powers. Hellstrom eventually tricks Hawkeye into returning
her spirit to Earth. She gets to keep all her demonic powers she
learned while there. She has natural athletic abilities already
but develops others through training with different characters like Moondragaon who
gives her martial arts training and enhances her psionic potential (allowing her to use
telekinesis abilities and resist mental control). She gains magical resistance, enhanced strength,
speed, agility, endurance, and reflexes as well as summoning her costume at will and
welding retractable claws and grappling hooks on her wrists. 3 At number 3 we have Blade
For this one we’re calling Vampires demons, which I don’t really think is a stretch. As you may already know, Blades mother was
bitten while in labor with Blade. She’s bitten by Deacon Frost and died during
the labour. During this some vampire enzymes were passed
on to Blade but not all of them. Since then he has sworn to avenge her by becoming
a vampire hunter. Because he wasn’t turned into a vampire he
has a lot of their powers without all the drawbacks. He can “smell” supernatural creatures, has
a much longer lifespan than your average human and is immune to normal vampire bites. And just like many of the heroes in this list,
he has superhuman speed, agility, strength, stamina and healing. 2) At number 2 we have one you can’t argue. It’s Ghost Rider I know, shiver, that movie….was…not….god…i
mean…nick cage….I’m gonna stop there. So, Ghost Rider, Started out at Johnny Blaze,
at least the first one. Blaze was a stunt motorcyclist and had to
sell his soul to a devil named Mephisto to save his surged father from dying on cancer. Sadly he ends up dying anyways doing a wild
stunt involving jumping over 22 cars on a motorcycle. Later on Blaze becomes a Ghost Rider and start
exhibiting things like sensing evil is around, his skin turns into hellfire (which gives
us the amazing effect of his head become a flaming skull. He rides around on a fiery motorcycle that
can travel faster than any conventional vehicle and can defy usually physics by riding up
a vertical surface, jumping across great distances and even driving across water. He also wields blasts of hellfire that is
a supernatural flame that burns the soul of a person and can also be used to burn their
physical body as well. He is virtually indestructible, has superhuman
strength and notoriously hard to injure, as bullets and knives usually pass through them
without causing pain. Knives have even been seen to just melt when
they go through him. Different versions can do different things
like have hellfire breath, the ability to produce chains from either his throat or chest,
and the ability to travel between incorporeal realms. A pretty stacked demonic character. 1) Finally at number 1 we have Spawn
I have to say this is the one that jumped into my mind first. I still think about that old movie. I wonder if they are ever going to make a
remake. Ahh 1997, what a year to be alive. He started life out as Albert Simmons with
a salesman as a father and a devil worshipper as a mother. He goes through life and becomes a highly
capable assassin for a U.S. Security Group. He gets decades of hand to hand combat and
martial arts training in a ton of disciplines. He is also a great marksman and swordsman. Bu then, he gets backstabbed and murdered
and ends up in hell where he makes a deal with a demon to see his wife one more time. However, it means he has to become an undead
“hellspawn”. When he gets back to earth he is missing a
lot of his memory, is badly disfigured and now has magical powers but also get strapped
with a monitor, the Clown, AKA Violator. He has different powers over the series but
here are a few: He has superhuman strength, durability and speed. It’s also worth noting his living symbiotic
costume. While wearing it it’s bonded to his central
nervous system and is protected even while unconscious by this shroud, chains, spikes
and skulls. And there you have it, the top 10 superheros
who got their powers from demons (or demon type characters) Let me know who I missed
